In India, Bachelor of Technology, also called as Bachelor of Engineering is a 4 years degree programme. The course includes wide-ranging engineering study and research. B Tech or B Engg is the same course under different name as the curriculum is standard and approved by AICTE for institutions all over the country. Government & Private Institution across the country confers the B Tech degree upon successful completion of the course. The course runs into 8 semesters.

Fee Structure For B Tech in IIT & NIT :
Fees vary for Private Institutions and ranges from 80,000 -1,20,000 per annum. Other state government institutions offers B Tech courses at affordable fees.
Career After B.Tech:
Most of the Institutions provide campus placements to their students in the final semester of B Tech. The institutions have tie ups with the companies and provide job opportunities to the students at the college itself. The package depends on the ability of the candidates and the companies.
After B Tech, candidates have to appear for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). It is a national level exam for B Tech candidates to pursue M Tech.
