All the colleges were made into one and were introduced as a new university known as the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, which is one of the highest qualitative educational institutions in India as well as internationally which is well known as the BITS, Pilani. The university has given rise to highly proficient and intellectual engineers and other streams professionals. How to get Admissions

The BITS, Pilani admissions are based on three categories depending on what streams the students want to learn or pursue their educational interests. The Birla Institute of Technology and Science offers courses based on the degree, doctoral, and higher degree programs. BITS Pilani Fee Structure

The BITS, Pilani fee structure remains same for all the programs offered apart from the other additional charges such as the students seeking the marine engineering and other courses with the hostel and food facilities, of which the charges are informed at the time of admission. Fee structures are different on each of the campus and the BITS, Pilani fee structure for the year 2015 – 2016 are,

Admission fee  – 25,500/-

First Semester Fee – 1,00,250/-

Second Semester – 1,00,250/-

Summer term – 35,100/-

Hostel fee – 8,000/- each semester

Mess and Electricity – 7,000/-


BITSAT is the online entrance exams conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science which takes place usually in the month of May. Before the entrance exams, every student is offered with a BITS, Pilani admit card. The BITSAT admit card can be downloaded online through the institute website. Visit the home page of the institute and enter your roll number, password, and along with it your date of birth. BITSAT is an online examination and the admit cards for the exams can be downloaded through the website admissions column.

BITS, Pilani Campus

The BITS, Pilani campus is one of the well structured campuses of educational institutions with its best facilities for the students residing there. The campus is planned to meet the criteria at the international level of coaching. For students coming from different places have the hostel facility of staying on campus, with altogether 11 hostel for boys and one hostel for girls.

The BITS, Pilani is one of the top engineering colleges and it is being recognized and awarded for its excellence based on many factors. Pilani campus ranking has risen from sixth position in 2013 to no.1 top college in 2015, according to the survey conducted by ‘The Week’ magazine.

The campus also has many cultural activities throughout the year. The students association conducts various programs relating to different streams like music, dance, drama, creative activities, mime, photography and poetry. Students also organize a cultural fest called as OASIS which is usually conducted at the times of Dussehra or Diwali. There is youth meet once a year known as the APOGEE – A Professional Gathering over Educational Experience.

BITS Placements

BITS, Pilani is under the eyes of high profiled companies and every year companies such as the Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Facebook and many others come to the campus itself to select and almost everyone gets placed in any one of the companies. The campus ranks best in the placements of its students. Google became the top news yet again by offering 1.40 crores to the students selected this year.
